The offer is built on the concept of zero trust to provide businesses with a seamless and secure connectivity solution to tackle the risks of cybersecurity in a hybrid world.

Amid the dynamic and expanding threat landscape, businesses face a core challenge: strengthening their IT infrastructure to remain resilient in a hybrid world. With employees working from different locations, using multiple connections, and accessing information across diverse platforms, resiliency becomes even more critical. Here, the network plays a crucial role as the first line of defense and the sole control point that comprehensively monitors every connection, be it users, devices, or entities.

“Cybersecurity is harder than before, especially as only 27% of companies in Thailand today are at a ‘mature’ stage of readiness to defend themselves against modern cybersecurity threats. As organizations continue to navigate trends like the move to the cloud, hybrid work, and artificial intelligence, a Secure Networking approach is essential in helping them build up their cybersecurity posture while enabling them to innovate at scale and accelerate their digitization journeys without the worry of security taking a backseat,” said Weera Areeratanasak, Managing Director, Thailand and Myanmar, Cisco.

The launch of Cisco Secure Networking marks a new era of security-centric networking, bridging Cisco Networking Cloud and Cisco Security Cloud for secure connectivity experience.

“One of Cisco’s unique differentiators is its unmatched visibility of the network, which allows us to secure everything that’s connected. With Cisco Secure Networking, we are bringing together security capabilities including the ability to apply zero trust principles and enforce granular security policies into a single console,” said Koo Juan Huat, Director, Cybersecurity, ASEAN at Cisco.

Security-Centric Networking Empowers Hybrid Work

Companies in Thailand are not ready to fully tackle the cybersecurity challenge. According to Cisco’s Cybersecurity Readiness Index, which launched earlier this year, only 27% of organizations in Thailand have a “Mature” level of readiness needed to be resilient against today’s modern cybersecurity threats. This readiness gap is telling, not least because 89% of the respondents in Thailand said they expect a cybersecurity incident to disrupt their business in the next 12 to 24 months.

The cost of being unprepared can be substantial, as 66% of respondents said they had a cybersecurity incident in the last 12 months and half of those affected said it cost them at least US$500,000.

To tackle modern cybersecurity challenges, Cisco recognizes that businesses need a networking experience built on zero-trust, visibility and analytics, and enforcement to secure every connection, regardless of its location.

Cisco is also doubling down on its AI strategy in security to deliver the most effective cybersecurity solutions and in securing AI systems from threats. AI will transform the business landscape, allowing businesses and industries to move at machine scale – not human scale, unlocking opportunities for innovation for industries. But it also raises novel issues around data privacy, security, confidentiality, IP rights, and bias. Its AI strategy with security is three-fold – simplifying security policy management, enabling quicker and more effective threat prevention, and securing the use of large language models.

Upskilling Thailand’s digital workforce to be cyber-ready

As companies in Thailand navigate a digital-first world, they must ensure that their talents keep pace with their digitization journeys. Marking 24 years in Thailand, Cisco Networking Academy has partnered with 59 learning institutions to train over 72,000 students with highly sought-after industry skills in cybersecurity, data science, networking, and more.

Cisco today builds on its efforts to upskill Thailand’s digital workforce with a new self-paced ‘Introduction to Cybersecurity’ course. The course, available to the public at no cost, provides a series of modules that expose people to the world of cybersecurity. The modules range from fundamental concepts of cyber-attacks and steps consumers and businesses can take to secure themselves and their organizations.

#Cisco #SecureNetworking #cybersecurity #ThaiSMEs

[4,6

post-8649","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business-news","category-ino-tech
["GET
